HARTING is the trailblazer and single source provider for "Integrated Industry"

„Integrated Industry“

The HARTING Technology Group reported decidedly positive developments for the first six months of the 2012/2013 fiscal year, covering the period from October 1, 2012 until March 31, 2013.

A clear increase in incoming orders in Europe has been recorded. The situation in Asia is even more positive. Philip Harting, Board Member for Connectivity & Networks says, "We are pleased with the more than 10 percent growth in incoming orders for the first half of our fiscal year."  And he is altogether optimistic about the coming months. "We firmly expect to see global growth in our Technology Group."

Integrated Industry is key to growth

One of the growth drivers will be HARTING's comprehensive "Integrated Industry" offerings, the focus of this year's Hannover Messe and the motto for the HARTING Technology Group's presentation. In an Integrated Industry, products hold integrated information and knowledge about their processing and further utilization. This allows companies to act in an ecological way that conserves resources while also structuring production with greater efficiency, flexibility and speed, always according to their specific necessities and conditions.
Claus Hilger, Managing Director HARTING IT System Integration GmbH & Co. KG – a company that was founded as of January this year - says that Auto-ID Solutions are the key technology for the future. They seamlessly bring the idea of Integrated Industry to life in applications. “A demo system with live operation at the trade fair stand will provide impressive proof of this. It simulates an intelligent factory system of the future with a live scenario, covering the steps from the order acceptance through the production and all the way to the delivery to the customer.  We are able to offer each of our customers the right Auto-ID solutions completely from one source, no matter how complex the tasks may be," Claus Hilger points out. Board Member Philip Harting confirms: "We are the trailblazers in this development. Our concepts will make Integrated Industry a success.”

New Products and Solutions for miniaturized and modular Systems

In addition to RFID technology, HARTING will also be highlighting a wealth of additional solutions, technologies, innovations and further developments at the Hannover Messe. Andreas Huhmann, Manager Strategy for Connectivity & Networks:” We have not only created the smallest single connector for PCB, but also offer with ourt har-flexicon® the full range in all larger sizes as well. Our customers value to get their solutions from one source, and with our star – the 1,27 – we are real trendsetters.”
Andre Beneke, Director Product Management Installation at HARTING introduces the Han® HMC connector, which is equipped for more than 10,000 mating cycles for very frequent use in harsh environments. The Han ® B housing program is now registered against IP 67, which guarantees maximum reliability even under water and is consequently ideal for use even under extreme conditions. “The Han® HPR connector solutions are sporting new covers that allow them to satisfy special requirements for reliability and functional dependability,” explains Andre Beneke.  And the Han-Yellock® with the distinctive yellow push button is now also qualified for use outdoors thanks to material and surface optimizations. A new screw module for the Han® E increases the flexibility while ensuring simpler and speedier handling.

HARTING smart Power Networks for Maximum Transparency

“With HARTING smart Power Networks you only need one network,” says Dimitrios Charisiadis, Director Product-/Project- and Processmanagement ICPN/RFID at HARTING. “Smart Power Networks integrate energy related functions directly into the network infrastructure, so that there is only one network needed – the Ethernet.” HARTING has tested and optimized this energy management system in his own production. Dimitrios Charisiadis:” We can clearly see which measures need to be taken to minimize energy usage.”

E-Mobility, Wind energy and Enthusiasm for Engineering

HARTING will also be exhibiting in three additional trade fair halls. In MobiliTec, revolving around e-mobility topics, HARTING will showcase modules for electromobility. In the Wind-Energy hall, HARTING will exhibit solutions which can be used in even the roughest climate and still transfer energy into our normal systems. At TectoYou, the technology group aims at inspiring young students for engineering and natural sciences.
HARTING's has more than 20 years of relationship with Russia, this year's partner country for the Hannover Messe. The technology group is present in several cities, including Moskow and St. Petersburg.

Intelligent and high-performance connection technology lies at the heart of industrial application and production technology. The HARTING product and solution range covers plug in connectors, device connection technology, network components and ready-made connection cables. HARTING products connect and interlink devices, machines and facilities with data, signals and power. This results in solutions covering a wide range of markets including automation technology, energy, transport engineering, industrial devices, broadcasting, stage and events technology, machine construction, medical technology, embedded computer systems and industrial network infrastructures. Moreover, HARTING manufactures electro-magnetic components for the automobile industry and provides solutions for the fields of enclosure and housing technology as well as shop and vending systems.
