From the windmill district to the land of windmills – 25 years have passed since the HARTING Technology Group founded a subsidiary in the Netherlands.

A large number of customers and guests followed the invitation to celebrate the anniversary last week in s’-Hertogenbosch. The Hartings and members of management from Germany travelled to Holland to congratulate the Dutch team on their track record now spanning 25 successful years. Discussions focused on the use of HARTING connectors that are finding widespread use in the Netherlands - most notably in railway engineering and the energy sector.

Founded in September 1984, HARTING B.V. was originally managed by the Belgian subsidiary. Thanks to very rapid and positive developments, the decision to establish an independent company was made in 1987. Today, the unit is very well positioned with its 17 members of staff.

Speaking on the special significance of the location for the HARTING Technology Group, Dietmar Harting stated: “I have always regarded the Netherlands as a country that is very open to change, a country that perceives the opportunities that change presents and understands how to make constructive use of new conditions.“

As Philip Harting, head of Connectivity & Networks, the Group’s largest operating area, outlined: “We place strong emphasis on long term customers relationships, as they ensure that we achieve our goal of consistently improving the customer benefits of our solutions. In this process, our highly trained and motivated staff guarantee that customer requirements are implemented in an optimal manner.“

The first subsidiaries of the Espelkamp based, family owned and managed company were founded in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden and Italy. Today, the Technology Group is active in more than 40 countries worldwide.
