HARTING Subsidiary Achieves Most Important Railway Industry Certification

HARTING UK Ltd, of Northampton, England, a subsidiary of family owned and managed HARTING, headquartered in Espelkamp, was awarded the IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) quality certificate in November.

IRIS, the international railway industry quality standard introduced in 2006, places the world's most stringent quality requirements on all companies whose products are used in the railway industry. This certification was introduced in order to further raise the quality standards in the railway industry sector and thereby also increase safety in public passenger traffic and freight transport.

Mid-2006, HARTING corporate headquarters in Espelkamp was the first in the world to receive this certificate, impressively substantiating the high quality of its products. More than two years after the introduction of the certificate, there are still less than 100 companies in the world who have been able to clear this quality hurdle. By the way - in addition to HARTING in Espelkamp, the Spanish HARTING subsidiary has also been certified to the IRIS standard since 2008.
