This year’s HANNOVER MESSE was a resounding success for the HARTING Technology Group in every respect, from the beginning to the end. The family owned and managed company headquartered in Espelkamp has been attending the trade fair held in the capital of Lower Saxony ever since the inception of the event. This year, however, will go down as the most successful participation in more than sixty years of trade fair history.
HARTING once again attracted rising numbers of fairgoers who had made their way to this year’s very well attended HANNOVER MESSE. “Our new stand concept in Hall 11 was extremely received,“ enthused entrepreneur Dietmar Harting, commenting on the excellent response to the Technology Group’s main stand. “The welcoming accessibility on all four sides, products on open display providing a hands-on experience of our technologies, and last but not least, our highly committed and competent stand crew met with praise from all quarters.“ The entrepreneur from Espelkamp was particularly proud of one compliment many visitors had paid: “Many of our customers, but also journalists lauded our stand as the most attractive one on the entire fairgrounds.“

Numerous prominent visitors dropped by at the company’s stands to learn more about the innovative strengths of the HARTING Technology Group: Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, Lower Saxony’s Minister President Christian Wulff, the district administrator of the district of Minden-Lübbecke, Ralf Niermann, and the Mayor of Espelkamp Heinrich Vieker showed their enthusiastic response to the many innovative product solutions that HARTING showcased in Hannover.

The Technology Group’s renewed participation in the TecToYou initiative addressing the younger crowd was also a resounding success. For the second time now, the company has been engaged as one of the major sponsors. HARTING invited more than 500 school children and students from the entire district of Minden-Lübbecke to the Hannover event, where they had the opportunity to interact with technology first hand at the company’s TecToYou stand. In addition, countless young people, attracted by the fascinating technology, flocked to the stand. “The enthusiasm and the strong interest the young people expressed clearly documents that we are successful in conveying technology as an exciting career area,“ as Margrit Harting was very pleased to note. This was also underscored by the strong demand for internships and vocational training positions that was recorded at the TecToYou stand. The HARTING stand at the trade fair’s Job & Career Market also registered very gratifying response.

Last but not least, the Technology Group’s RoboCup was a major crowd-puller: right at the edge of the pitch where the international robot teams played out their soccer matches, putting their artificial intelligence to the test, a Carrera slotcar race track attracted fascinated visitors, who also had the opportunity to compete against a “Neuroracer“ piloted by artificial intelligence.

The entrepreneurs Dietmar and Margrit Harting took a very positive stock of this year’s trade fair: “With our convincing presence, not only at our main stand, but also thanks to our engagement at the many other locations across the fairgrounds, we once again succeeded in positioning HARTING as an internationally expanding and highly innovative company at this number one technology event worldwide.“
