In the course of its personnel development policies, the HARTING Technology Group is placing an increasingly strong emphasis on the training and further development of qualified junior employees in-house. In connection with a comprehensive potential development program (PEP), selected specialized employees from German locations have enhanced their skills and capabilities for future activities and management assignments, and presented their PEP results to Margrit and Dietmar Harting and the management board this week.

In a two-year training program the participants were trained in specialist, method and leadership competencies. Some special outdoor training was on the agenda as a measure promoting team building. The learning project represented a key focus item in the PEP context. Here, the team was called on to investigate and examine the business processes of the entire HARTING Technology Group in the manner of an external management consultant. Based on the results, optimization ideas geared to customer benefits were developed and outlined in a concluding presentation.

“We are very pleased that our learning project met with such strong engagement on the part of our management staff,“ as Kai-Uwe Lindemann, the speaker of the participant group, related. “This shows us that young employees at HARTING are accorded strong appreciation and offered excellent further training opportunities.“

As Dr. Michael Pütz, senior vice president responsible for personnel matters, commented: “The strong commitment of our participants impressively documents that we are charting the right course with our junior employee advancement activities. We will definitely be continuing PEP and will also be developing a trainee program for young engineers in the very near future.“
