Dr.-Ing. Dirk Steinbrink take up the responsibility as Managing Director of HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG

Dr.-Ing. Dirk Steinbrink take up the responsibility as Managing Director of HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG at the beginning of the year. In future, he will head the company together with Hans Peter Bollin.

Dr.-Ing. Dirk Steinbrink take up the responsibility as Managing Director of HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG at the beginning of the year. In future, he will head the company together with Hans Peter Bollin.
In his function Dr. Dirk Steinbrink will be responsible for the ICPN, Device Connectivity and Cable divisions, as well as the Industrial Connectivity & Networks area including the entire distribution operations, and the Asian region.
After studying electrical engineering at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Dr. Dirk Steinbrink was active there for another five years as Research Assistant, obtained his doctorate before changing to a position at Alcatel Kabel (which has traded under the name of Nexans as of the year 2000).
Dr. Steinbrink's career started as a Trainee at Nexans Deutschland Industrie GmbH & Co. KG in Hanover, where he was assigned, among other tasks, with the restructuring of the power cable division and the management of the first 400 kV-project for Alcatel.
In his function as Main Department Manager from 1999 to 2004, he was responsible for expanding project business for cable systems in the power supply area. In this context, he was involved in the development of customer specific solutions, including the Transrapid in Shanghai, for example, and maritime cable projects in Iran. Acquisition activities in East Europe formed another focus area. During this time, Dr. Steinbrink completed an Executive Training course at ESCP-EAP in Paris.
In the year 2004, Dr. Dirk Steinbrink was appointed Division Manager of the entire power cable business area. His task scope comprised production, project management and sales, as well as assembly and installation activities at home and abroad.
