HARTING’s Italian subsidiary celebrates its 25th anniversary

Last week in Milan the HARTING Technology Group’s Italian subsidiary celebrated its 25th anniversary. Following France, Great Britain, Belgium and Sweden, HARTING SpA was the fifth foreign subsidiary that was founded in the course of strengthening and expanding the international orientation of the HARTING technology group. In the meantime, the HARTING Technology Group has continued to grow and is now represented by subsidiaries in 23 countries, including India, since 2005.

Customers, suppliers and numerous press representatives and guests from the business arena took up on the invitation to attend the anniversary celebrations. The Italian staff were joined by the entrepreneurs Dietmar and Margrit Harting, their daughter Maresa Harting and other representatives of the Espelkamp headquartered enterprise who gathered in Milan to celebrate this special company anniversary.

Dietmar Harting and Diego Imbesi, the managing director of HARTING SpA provided their guests with an account of the history of the HARTING Technology Group and the development of the Italian subsidiary. Since the founding of the first Italian subsidiary in Milan, HARTING Italy has embarked on a dynamic development course, which is reflected by the subsequent opening of additional branches in Rome, Florence, Padua and Bologna. Already in the late seventies HARTING had started to set up foreign subsidiaries in a move to develop strategically important markets, a step that is also pivotal in securing activities and locations based in Germany.

The HARTING Technology Group is skilled in the fields of electrical, electronic and optical connection, transmission and networking, as well as in manufacturing, mechatronics and software creation. The Group uses these skills to develop customized solutions and products such as connectors for energy and data transmission applications including, for example, mechanical engineering, rail technology, wind energy plants, factory automation and the telecommunications sector. In addition, HARTING also produces electro-magnetic components for the automobile industry and offers solutions in the field of Enclosures and Shop Systems.

The HARTING Group is currently employing more than 2,400 members of staff worldwide.
