Margrit Harting elected new Vice-President of the IHK

Margrit Harting has been elected Vice-President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) of Eastern Westphalia, based in Bielefeld. The entrepreneur was elected during the constitutional session of the plenary meeting of the IHK held on Monday, September 18, in Bielefeld.
The Senior Vice President and Partner of HARTING KGaA has been active as a member of the plenary meeting of the IHK since 1996 and has already held this post on several occasions. She represents the industrial section within the Minden-Lübbecke district.
Margrit Harting is now the sole female member of the presidium, which is composed of ten members overall. Besides Margrit Harting, eight further vice presidents were elected: Fritz Drabert (Minden), Dr. Herbert Hanselmann (Paderborn), Wolf Dietrich Meier-Scheuven (Bielefeld), Marcus Graf von Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff (Bad Driburg), Jochen Willmann (Bielefeld), Dirk-Walter Frommholz (Spenge), Dr. Markus Miele (Gütersloh) and Dr. h. c. August Oetker (Bielefeld). The Bielefeld-based entrepreneur Ortwin Goldbeck will now take over as the new IHK President.
